The mountains have always been an incredibly inspiring and relaxing place for me. When Scotti and Bob told me they wanted to take their engagement photos in the snow, I was thrilled! I had a great time working with them and meeting their family. Alpental Mountain, located in Washington was a perfect choice for their engagement session. Best of 2013

2013 was an amazing year for Rubin Photography! We had weddings and photoshoots in 6 different states, across California from Napa to Los Angeles, and in destinations including Maui, Hawaii. We begin 2014 grateful for all of our incredible clients! Thank you all for the privilege and honor of capturing some of the most important moments of your lives. Happy 2014!

2013 was a great year for the commercial photography side of our business as well. From magazine covers to celebrity shoots, it was by far our busiest and most successful year! Perhaps the greatest moment of the year was a shoot for Starbucks Corporate which included a very special guest….Oprah!

I had such an incredible time working with Olivia and Patrick. We started shooting at the Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina District of San Francisco. The architecture mixed with perfect light and a very loving couple, to create some amazing photographs. As the sun was setting, we went over to the Presidio to capture photos with the city skyline and the Golden Gate Bridge. Take a look at a few favorites from their session below!

In true Seattle fashion, rain prevailed on the day of Voula and Vasili’s engagement session. However, this did not dampen our spirits as we began our shoot at the stunning Seattle library. The modern architecture and dramatic light proved an amazing backdrop for their images. As the weather cleared, we went to Gas Works Park. We had just enough time to catch photos with the beautiful Seattle skyline before the rain came back. Toward the end of the session, with the rain pouring down, we decided to venture out into the middle of the storm…which is when I captured my favorite shots of the day! robin & ryan | ballard engagement session

ROBIN & RYAN | ENGAGEMENT | GOLDEN GARDENS & BALLARD | SEATTLE, WA

I had a great time working with Robin and Ryan. The day of their engagement session was the first time we had ever met in person, and after about 10 minutes they felt like old friends. I’m super excited for their wedding at the University of Washington next summer. The session started at Golden Gardens before we headed to downtown Ballard to capture a few more images and have a glass of wine. For me engagement sessions are not just about getting some great images, they are a way for my clients to get more comfortable in front of the camera and to know what to expect the day of the wedding.
