Clients who choose wine country weddings usually have a few things in common. Of course, they love wine. They also savor food, and relish a good party. Lorilee & Brad are certainly no exception. Their wedding at Viansa Winery in Sonoma was utterly breathtaking. The romance, fun and joy of their union was an honor to witness. The entire weekend was filled with love, wine, delicious food and celebration. From the rehearsal dinner at Black Stallion Winery in Napa, the candle lit ceremony, and the decadent party at Viansa Winery, it was a perfect wedding weekend. Congratulations Lorilee and Brad!

2013 was an amazing year for Rubin Photography! We had weddings and photoshoots in 6 different states, across California from Napa to Los Angeles, and in destinations including Maui, Hawaii. We begin 2014 grateful for all of our incredible clients! Thank you all for the privilege and honor of capturing some of the most important moments of your lives. Happy 2014!
2013 was a great year for the commercial photography side of our business as well. From magazine covers to celebrity shoots, it was by far our busiest and most successful year! Perhaps the greatest moment of the year was a shoot for Starbucks Corporate which included a very special guest….Oprah!

Lauren and Nate are an amazing couple! I had such an incredible time photographing their wedding day. The morning started with everyone getting ready at Novelty Hill, Januik Winery in Woodinville. This winery is one of my favorite venues in in the Northwest. It’s architecture is modern and clean and the courtyard and surrounding areas offer tons of photo opportunities. Shelby and David are such an incredible couple. They are incredibly kind, humble, honest, fun people. Shelby & David chose Novelty Hill Januik Winery for their wedding celebration. The winery boasts modern architecture, with clean and dramatic angles and lighting. It was a fabulous location to shoot, and I continuously found new inspirations around every corner. The morning started with Shelby getting ready at Willows Lodge, while the guys got ready at David’s office. There were so many beautiful details from Shelby & David’s wedding that it was difficult to choose pictures for the blog. We captured some emotional images of their first sight of each other with a little help from David’s son, Chase. He has become increasingly interested in shooting ever since I photographed their engagement session this spring. Watch out fellow photographers, by the time Chase can obtain a work permit, he’ll be shooting some amazing images! After Willows Lodge, we hopped in a limo and went to Shelby’s parents home on Lake Washington to capture a few additional portraits, then we were off the Januik Winery for the Ceremony and Reception.
